INFANT CARE

There are bazillions of “baby” books out there, some very broad and many on very specific issues. It is unlikely that you will agree with every “specialist” on every issue, and the advice from all directions can become overwhelming. My best advice to new parents is: gather info from a variety of trusted resources, gather “info” from your baby, then trust your instincts and be willing to try different things to see what works best for you and your family.

That being said, two baby care resources I like are:

  •  "The Baby Book: Everything You Need to Know About Your Baby From Birth to Age Two" by Dr. Sears

  • “The Happiest Baby on the Block” by Dr. Harvey Karp
